We believe that things made by human hands still matter.
At Arendal Souvenirs & Repairs, we focus on products genuinely made in Norway by makers, craftspeople, small businesses, and producers who still choose to create here.
We believe in quality, authenticity, visible craftsmanship, real materials, practical knowledge, and welcoming spaces where people can slow down for a moment.
This shop is built around conversation, creativity, repair, sustainability, and the belief that handmade and locally produced objects should remain part of everyday life.
You do not need to buy anything here.
You are welcome to come in, look around, ask questions, touch, see, smell, and take a moment.
Because authenticity is not only about products.
It is also about people, atmosphere, materials, and feeling connected to something real.
To create a welcoming space for authentic Norwegian-made products, visible craftsmanship, conversation, and quality, while supporting makers who still choose to produce in Norway. That’s the clean version.
Our Mission
My Story
When I was let go from my full-time job, I had to stop and rethink what I wanted to do next.
What began as a practical service business slowly became something much bigger.
I started noticing how often “Norwegian” meant designed here, but produced somewhere else. That made me curious about the people and businesses who still choose to produce in Norway, and how difficult it has become for many of them to remain visible.
At the same time, I kept meeting talented makers, handcrafters, artisans, farmers, designers, and small businesses creating beautiful things with real care and quality, yet struggling to be seen in a world increasingly built around screens, convenience, and mass production.
I wanted to create a place where people could once again see, touch, smell, experience, and connect with the people, skills, and materials behind the things they bring into their lives.
So I decided to create something different.
A shop filled with products genuinely made in Norway.
My work is strongly influenced by craftsmanship, repair culture, sustainability, natural materials, the Artisans at Work principle, and Fibershed Norge thinking. But at its heart, it comes down to something very simple:
